Research shows the LED bike has a different part number for the regulator. It may just be an update to MOSFET type? I wonder if the lefthand handlebar switch assembly has the headlight connector attached? Again it has an updated part number.
There are 2 voltages on the headlight body; 13.2v and 13.6 volts which seem to be the min and max operating voltage, 9 volts is just too small to light the chip, but it may actually be that the unit requires a driver unit since the system voltage can be as much as 14 volts which could spell the end of the led's, so we need more confirmation from other members which have the led light and have had a look inside their head light bucket.
