Thanks everyone for the input. Lowering and changing the alignment of the fork clamps and minimizing the angles of the connecting bars seemed to do the trick. The windscreen now sits closer to the headlight, looks perfectly symmetrical and was completely stable at 70 - 75 mph.
After my 30-mile commute home, I'm really not sure this is the right windscreen for me, though. I'm just over 5' 10" and the wind is minimized on my torso, but substantially noisier at helmet level. I have to bend forward and down to get into calm air and that isn't something I want to do for any length of time. I notice that when I stand on the pegs the clean air is much quieter than when I am in my normal upright sitting position.
I've read a lot of the windscreen threads on this forum and get the impression that it is tough finding an ideal solution. I may try something else as I'd like to have something to help reduce wind fatigue on longer trips and am open to any suggestions. Thanks!
