Happiness short-lived, looking for suggestions

Glad to hear your voice is being heard by body shop.
Good luck in fast and successful resolution.
Bike looks sharp, like the Honda emblem !!

My mechanical skills are decent but machining and welding skills are practically none and I don't have access to a welder. I have made a formal complaint with the body shop, they've asked me to drop the tank off, they will either fix it or get me a new tank if that fails. It's unfortunate, but I guess these things happen, I was very eager to get on the bike and go ride, it has been too long. At least I'm happy with the new look, still contemplating the proper exhaust and grab rails

That sounds like good news. Hopefully no new drama comes out of the service.

Work with the paint shop to PAY SOMEONE ELSE to repair it. Their skills are obviously lacking.

As usual I would like to thank everyone for your support, I'm pleased to say that the tank has been fixed and tested for leaks of which there are none at tbe moment, I've mounted it and finally started the bike, even went for a short spin to break in the new brakes, speaking of which, I got these rear pads from a for me unknown brand, which to my amazement do not squeak! Imagine that, any speed, any pressure nothing! Not a sound. And they stop

They drilled out the bit and welded a new one in place, I have to be honest I didn't ask too much, as I had to keep my disgruntled customer face on.
I am pleased that they took it up as a priority and had it done immediately
