My cover was off easily with the help of a small plastic tube. i use it as separator when i screw in from the hole use to turn the crank. as the hole screw going in, it push the tube against the bolt use to hold the crank pulse rotor (the gear thingy with missing tooth), thus pushing the cover out. After sensor replaced, the bike fired up right away with the new crank sensor without any problem. Only issue is I have to redo the installation as I had done the gasket dressing wrong the 1st time (only dress the outer perimeter of screw hole). after i packed everything and then realized the oil might leak thru the screw holes, so i redo the dressing again focusing on inner perimeter of screw hole. Anyway, thanks everyone help for solving my problem. Will start to ride tomorrow once my gasket is cured fully. Problem consider solved...

Excellent zirconxi. A good ending.

Very good job Zirconxi, you were great with your feedback of the test results.

In order to get the right result it is important to think the situation over and ask the right question, usually one at a time and carefully read the response, the right answer is usually there but the response can miss the vital bit of information which determines the cause of a problem.

For some reason i find this problem solving interesting and when the outcome is positive like in your case that is the reward.
It is also fascinating to watch others solve problems and find out their methodology, then resist the temptation to barge in but when they are on the right track just quietly look over their shoulder and follow their reasoning, you always learn something new.

Apologies for getting it wrong with the advice of a new battery on the second time and your measurements were exellent.

Compliments on the nice repair!BikerBikerCelebrate

I am thinking of adopting Max , he can than live with us in the USA and be one of the Forums gurus. He even speaks Dutch so that will be handy too for me.

He doesn't have to move to the US to be a forum guru. He's achieved that status already. Tongue

Numerous comments above about "bike cranking", so I thought I would add this. My '14 Standard starts so quickly, I cannot hear any "cranking". Maybe I should be happy with this. Maybe others experience this phenomena.
