I just pulled the stock air filter and WOW...I am surprised the bike got any air at all thru the stocker, that thing is SUPER RESTRICTIVE!!!

Installed the K&N and I did feel a difference. I also rode her slow for a good distance to get the temp up and see if the low speed stumble returned due to the additional air flow, it didn't. . Ran her at highway speeds too and she didn't miss a beat. So as far as I can tell, the map that comes loaded on the PC V is rich enough to work with a Staintune slip on and a K&N filter.

I've read too much about k&n air filters letting too much dirt pass through. I don't trust them and use stock for everything. Some guys like em, just not for me.

they now make oil to trap more dirt and seal all the holes???? a few more horses won't make a difference except the life of engine and more oil changes

I just ordered one of these too, hoping to improve the 2K to 3.5K RPM performance and smoothness, I think I spend much of my time in that range.

The Dynojet video really helps with the install. Except for figuring out the fuel tank disconnect and fishing the large plugs behind the frame, it is pretty simple.
