Front fork plug/bolts.
#1
I want to pull the top fork bolts off and paint them but based on past experience on my other bike-didn’t take load off front of bike, springs shot past my head, maybe 50 feet in the air, landed across the street- can I get the bolts off without any drama provided I get the front of the bike off the ground?

I believe you can, but someone who has actually done it will have to answer. But, here is a post with pics of the forks and all the internals. http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread....#pid133396 Click on his link in the post for the pics.

Here is another thread by the same guy, Tink, with more info. Yeah, he took the forks off, but if you read through there are some good tips. http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread....rk+springs
