alprider, I remember after my first oil change at around 1000 kms shifting became smoother(not that it wasn't before), and after the 2nd oil change even clutchless shifting was butter slick. I use Louis' cheapo Probiker semi synthetic 10W-30 by the way, so no magic there. And that's with no chain adjustment ever. Perhaps an oil change is due?

well, i had already the first oil-change (1000km) on my yello bee........and i trust to my mechanic boss since 1992.......i drive since 1992 only hondas but just i dont remember that kind lack on a bike (yes right, was still butter) ....well of course after any km if is the oil warm it function better but still something ....
the gear indicator on the display helps not , on the contrary, it is even more unsettling when it flashes...smile...
i guess, I just have to pay attention preferably to shift clean...
