2016 or 2019 model
#1
Hello everyone,
I have a low mile 2016 CB1100 EX, which I am very pleased with. Got the opportunity to buy a low mile 2019 model, but I have never ridden it yet. Any pro’s or con’s?

There are currently a lot of used CB1100s for sale in Canada, but I think the 2017 model year cut-off applies to all of North America.

Mine's a '19. No problems to report in its first 6,000 kms. Let me know if you have any questions.

I love the dual bending valve front forks on the 2017MY onwards, I found a new appreciation for them after buying a GS which has very poor high speed damping. The dual bending valve tries to smooth the forks transition from low speed to high speed damping, I think it is very effective. After than that is it really just looks, different amount of spokes and the tank etc. One the whole I can't imagine the experience will be radically different, mainly visual.

Ok, thanks for reply. Manufacturers always get new set of “rules” from governments, to reduce emissions. So I was wondering if there were made any changes regarding air flow/filter, carburatiin etc. which in our opinion have a negative effect, thus pointing to keep the 2016 model.
