Auxillary USB Power Plug install for IPhone

Notice the red connector at the bottom. That is the accessory connector in the bucket. Yours will be in the same area. It may be taped and a tad hard to find but it is there. The connector is capped to protect the pins.

There are 2 wires. Green is ground. The other is switched 12vdc.

To add your SAE plug or whatever, you will have 3 choices. Buy a connector, pins, and crimping tool and wire up your SAE or USB plug. Although I and a few other electronics nerds did this, it isn’t the way for most.

The second way is to tap into the wires and the last way and maybe the best is to cut the connector off and just connect to the wires.

Your SAE or whatever you have will have a black and a red wire, or a smooth black and a ribbed black wire. If red and black, connect black to green. If smooth black and ribbed black, connect ribbed black to green. Other wire to the hot wire.

To get your new addition where you can use it, run the wire out the back of the bucket and up to the handlebars or wherever you want. Make sure the forks will move lock to lock with out binding the cable.
