Fuel reserve display issue

When I first got my CB, when I got to the last fuel bar on the display it would start to flash and give a miles left and an amount of fuel left.. Suddenly now as soon as the fuel bar starts flashing miles left and amount left just display - -

Anyone else have this issue or possibly shed light on why it has started doing this?

Not to speak ill of our bike but it hasnt always had the most accurate and faithful fuel measuring system found on a motorcycle. Ive had my fuel reserve read 25 miles when it ran out of gas. It always says i have about 3 more bars than i actually do when i first start the bike, and it reads -- if at any point it thinks my fuel reserves are below a half gallon....in other words, theres at least a half gallon margin of error. I wouldnt think to hard about it on this bike.

Yep, mine has done that for years. I just go by the miles that I put on. My fuel gauge usually just flashes from inside to outside anyway....
