Got my Drive Sprocket off

Pulled the Drive Sprocket off. See photos below for wear after 55000kms.







After giving it some thought, ably assisted by our forum members, I will go to Barry Francis, Australia for an OEM Drive Sprocket replacement at AUD80, no freight charge. The sprocket in the USA sells for approximately USD50 which equates roughly to AUD64 and commission plus freight ranging from USD8.95 for ground and USD27.95 for express.

Chain and Driven Sprocket yet to be removed.

Not bad for the mileage but in need of replacement. Does the driven sprocket show as much wear? Drive sprockets always wear faster it seems. Drive sprocket on my Tiger 1050 was toast at 12,000 miles.

Looks like you got every mile out of it. Kinda cool how Honda does the rubber insert. Probably to keep harmonics & vibrations down. Thanks for posting. I'm also curious to see the rear sprocket.

I will take the driven sprocket off tomorrow. Might get to the chain and chain slider as well.

Thats why I have decided to go OEM for the drive sprocket. I don't believe the JT has the rubber inserts.
