Great point Guth!

I then would have been in the hunt for a red tank to replace it with. I could live with the white for a while, but the black does little for me personally. I do hope that Honda chooses to offer the CB1100 in something other than red for 2014 — I just hope they don't abandon the red.
Obviously for me, red is the preferred color. (My second choice would be the dark blue that appeared in Australia.) There is not much I can do if someone takes offense at my distaste for the other colors. However, if such statements are truly cause for one to dismiss a purchase of this machine, then chances are it's not the right bike for them regardless.

Candy Red is classic Honda color, and the 2013 color scheme -- red tank, black fins, silver in my opinion is most beautiful. It is my first motorcycle with all the right color, I love it.

I agree, and am also grateful that we have the ability to purchase tanks, side covers, etc. in different colors. Yes, it is relatively expensive to get from Japan, but at least we have options!
