Hopefully people who know better will chime k , but as far as I can tell it looks like Canada is not getting a CB1100 this year. We didn’t get a new one for 2015 either. Who knows what Honda is up to or what is to come for the future. Maybe someone like Hondaprokevin who has insider info can shed a light.

My limited understanding for Canada is:
According to the leadership of the Canadian Honda head office, this market is optimal for the CB300, CB500 and CB650. You may disagree, but this appears to be decided by HQ Japan. Canada has inadequately demonstrated that other models flourish. I suspect maybe importing too few (?) of other models like the CB1100 is not cost effective under these conditions?
I do know that our younger generation riders are attracted to these engine sizes, probably for insurance reasons.
It should be interesting to see if the CB1000R will be seen beyond this year.
Furthermore, for most of the model line-up, you can choose any colour you wish - as long as you like red.

For the last 9 years, we have been wondering every year if the CB1100 will be imported to the US. 2010, no, 2011 no, 2012 no, 2013 yes, 2014 yes with 2 models, 2015 no, 2016 no, 2017 yes, 2018 no.... Now 2019 is upon us and once again we have no idea if the CB1100 in any of iterations is coming to the US.
Honda never lets us know in advance.... Or lets its dealers know for that matter. Strange situation.

I was talking with a salesman who is family in the family run dealership where I get most of my service done, and he usually has the same response, “I have no idea.”

In the past, American Honda has usually announced CB1100 availability by January at the latest. I suspect we probably won't see the '19 version this year.

Unfortunately, my inner sources are similar.
Do not have to worry about myself, as I have no plans to buy newer CB, but CB family is not growing at all = sad perspective for us all.

Hm, just thinking, how easy/difficult would it be to import, let's say a CB1100RS from Germany to the USA, i.e. I buy it in Germany with a German licence, fly it over to the US, pay custom, ride it across the USA and sell it around New York?

I don't want to interfere with US market, but you should start by reading this this first:

Good luck Django

Somebody (i.e. gov't) will be making money on paperwork activities for sure. I will assume EU emissions certification meets U.S. standards, but there could be some corner cases.

Django, we had a discussion about that last year. See [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12507]here. Maybe not that easy.
