I removed the seat and the luggage tray/toolkit bin. The next step says to disconnect the electrical connector for the tail light.
Can someone please point out where the electrical connector is? I see a bunch of wires and I'm sure it's located in that bundle (bottom left of the photo), but there's this clear rubber sheath that wraps around it. How to I remove that rubber sheath? Should I just cut it with scissors?
I took a pic:
Thanks in advance.

IFRC, you can also get some access to that from the side with the cover off.
Not fun, but you can work that cover and fold it up on itself. Like turning a sock inside out. If it gives you trouble, heat a bit with a blow dryer.
On the '13 wiring diagram, the brake/tail light connector is shown as a 3 pin with G/Y, Bl/Br and G wires. Been a long while since I messed with mine, but it was not hard to get to.

Thanks popgun. I had to tug on it harder than I thought. At first I was afraid I would pull a wire loose but it's all good, I figured it out.

Yeah it's pretty easy. Just remember the rear blinkers only come on to signal and aren't running lights like the front.
