For what it’s worth, I run a coax line (heated gear) and an sae line (charger) directly to the battery. I have a dual USB port mounted to the bar for my phone and my Spot Gen 3 that runs from the headlight bucket connection. Prior to installing the USB port, I used an SAE-USB adapter like the one in your link directly to the battery. I have had no trouble with this setup in 28,000 miles.

The connector under the side cover is the DLC connector (data link connector) for the HDS (Honda diagnostic system to jack in to. The Aux power connector is in a boot on the inside of the frame. You have to remove the tool box to get to it, and removing the side cover helps too.
I currently have the Healtec GiPro gearshift indicator plugged into my DLC (as does Cormanus as the ‘13 does not have one) and sometimes plug in my Healtec diagnostic tool.
In the headlight shell aux connector I have a SAE connector hooked to it. The SAE end is on the top tripple tree. For battery charging I, and a lot of us, have a SAE pigtail connected directly to the battery with the SAE end poking out a hole in the fender plastic on the right side.

I’m going to be wiring up my horns here soon and the info on the connectors is very much appreciated. In regards to the 2 crimps needed for the terminal and the seal the crimp tool should have provisions for the 2 crimps at the same time.

The inexpensive crimper I bought with the terminal kit is a 2 crimp tool. Professional crimpers are not cheap.
