I have hesitated to ride because it didn't feel right to risk of taking a bed someone else would need. But it's settling down now so I believe the next warm streak I'll go for a spin.

It's a strange era to live through. Every generation has to experience at least one of these. Hopefully, we'll learn something good from this and be better people.
I do hope you're right, DAC.
I still ride my bike , people exercising can get heart attacks and in the UK more people have to go to the ER because on injuries because of DIY projects while at home. Just be extra careful.
Today marks 4 weeks since I have been able to take my weekly Sunday morning vacation on my best mechanical friend. Over the past month I have seen many folks ignoring the "recommendations" on their bikes, jet skis, and boats. Not happy.
Florida's Stay at home order:

What about going outside?

You can still go for a run, hike, bike ride and swim under the executive order, just don’t do it in a group and maintain your distance from other people.
The executive order also includes fishing and hunting as “essential" activities.

Heck I think Fla is already starting to open beaches again.

My wife has started providing telemedicine full time from our dining room table. Since we live in a very small condo, it's very distracting for her to have me banging around in the house, so I've pretty much been spending all of my time in the garage when I'm not at my friend's shop helping him fix cars. It's an interesting dynamic, and has allowed me to get a ton of projects done. I've fixed up and sold my Father in Law's car and done a lot of things that I've been promising my wife I'd do for months. Yesterday, the rain stopped and the clouds started looking a bit more friendly, so I took a ride on the CB. It was nice to leave the house with a helmet and leather gloves, rather than a face mask and exam gloves.

Now that the sun is out, I look forward to riding to my buddy's shop for my new mechanic side gig. He said "If the cops pull you over because they think you're out riding for fun, show 'em your dirty hands and tell 'em you're essential!"
Just put a shopping list in your pocket !
Ya know, when I do ride, I put my Givi trunk on the back, even if it's empty. I haven't heard of people in CA being stopped, but I figure if I do, I can say I'm on my way to pick up food.

That would not work where I ride way out in the Floorduh back country. Those redneck cops can be either real nice or real mean. Not gonna take a chance and/or push my luck. Anybody out there been stopped and questioned?
