Bought my CB as a left over last week. I'm 42. Also currently own a ZRX1200.. and owned a '76 CB750 and a '82 LTD750 in the past.

I'm in the meat of the 30-34 category. Interesting to see the age breakdown of owners!
It doesn't surprise me at all that this bike appeals to an older demographic. High on the list of reasons I bought it was its appeal to that part of my soul that never got over owning a Honda 4 in the early 1970s.
It's somehow comforting that it has an appeal to younger people.

58. Retired for 4 years and riding for 5. Sold a 230 to get an 1100. I always wanted a 750 in the 70s so the 1100 is that bike with 'inflation' factored in.

38 here. Back in the 90s, I read an article in a motorcycle magazine about two guys who traveled cross-country on a pair of 1970s CB750s. I'd never seen a CB before and it looked like the absolute perfect motorcycle to me. Years later, I bought my first CB (1972 CB450). About ten years after that and I just recently bought my second CB. They're still perfect.

As for the appeal, I think some things never go out of style. I admired my friends father's CB400-4 and CB750 for years, then I got a chance to ride the 400 and fell in love.
Despite the pushback against millennials (not here, but in the world), I think there are many of us who value motorcycling for the sport, emotion and mechanical beauty rather than the image of speed and machismo. I personally take umbrage with many of the folks I tend to see on the roads with whom I share a generational definition; t-shirts, flip flops, no training, and an overwhelming air of scofflaw mentality when riding their 600s. In PA, helmets are optional, and many choose to forgo them for style. I find it bewildering and frustrating as the stigma is palpable in the public. The CB1100 seems to cut through that stigma like few bikes can. It draws attention from across demographic lines and elicits conversation and appreciation. It's one of the things that I adore most about it. Police wave to me, truckers stop to talk, college kids swoon (I'm a college professor, so maybe my experience is swayed by my level of interaction), and folks of a certain vintage are constantly talking about how they either miss their CB or wish they had bought one when they were my age in the 70s and 80s. The hooligan stigma is completely avoided on this bike.

The CB is everything a motorcycle should be. A big motor between your legs where you can see, feel, and hear it. Yet, with fuel injection and air/oil cooling makes it a current runner. All the bikes I have owned through the years have been air cooled and I've enjoyed them all. I'm 67 and have been riding since the age of 17. I'll be going to my 50th high school reunion in June. I feel obligated to attend to visit with fellow class members and share the blessings the good Lord has given me. Swinging a leg over the saddle and firing up the CB is one simple blessing I don't take for granted these days. Life is an adventure. Be appreciative where you are because living brings change.

add in the 50 year olds and you are up over 70%
50 year olds were born in 1967
so 70% of the respondents were born before the CB 750 came out ... coincidence? I think not lol
