retro side cover for 2013

I have a red 2013. I did not like the silver triangle side covers. After looking around on internet, I could not get an answer from japan or Netherlands about color code of their offerings. I did like the daytona brand ko style side covers. They said candy red, but the 2014 candy red is a little different. I ordered a set for the deluxe 2014 from a honda dealer. The color is so close, that I have to really look in the sun for any shade or tone difference. Because of the bends, shadows and curves in the tank, near the side covers it looks fantastic. 235.00 delivered to my house. I wanted a fake oil cap, but I will get over it. They look amazing. (and i am very picky about details.) now for a 4 into 4 exhaust.

2013 is Candy Glory Red. Code R101CU
2014 is Candy Alizarin Code R345 or R345C or the Colorrite site as reported on this board.

I think the paint code is on a sticker on your frame under the seat. Someone here could give you the '14 code. Touch up paint is available from the dealer too.

Post up a pic of your bike. We'd love to see it. Bet it looks great with your new covers!

You can get an idea of what they might look like if you look at my bike. I have a 13 that I put a JDM dark blue tank on and it can be confused for black sometimes.

Looks sharp Randy! I was thinking silver sides and road comet to give it a little color as my rims and engine are all black

But I'm also contemplating getting my tank and side covers repainted in an old school green with gold stripe.... Tough choices.

i cant get my pictures from my samsung to download. too much data for the website. i will try a different camera or change the resolution on my computer to downsize the file.the side covers look great. like they were painted to match 2013 candy glory red.

Yeah, but....

I use Smugmug for hosting. Tried to post a picture here the other day. Spent over an hour on it. No joy. Reduced the size to "tiny" and it still wouldn't work. Then I tried to post on ADVrider as a test, and my first attempt, using "medium" size went through no problem. Took less time than to type this sentence. No idea why this forum is different, but it was quite "frustrating" to say the least. :-(

I use imgur and have no issues as it generates the code for you to just copy and paste. Also, using the tapatalk app lets me just upload straight from the phone.

vegasdriver, if you are attaching photos instead of using a remote hosting site please know that the file size needs to be 250Kb or smaller.

Olyrider, are you following these directions in Smugmug? If so, you just want to use the "Photo Only" option for your link. Copy the link (ending in ".jpg") that is presented. Then when you are here on the forum posting a new reply, click on the image icon (it looks like small graphic of the sun above some mountains) appearing in the toolbar above the text box where you type out your post content. When you click on the image icon a popup window should appear where you then paste the link (URL) that you had copied from Smugmug. Note that I am not talking about the Quick Reply option, but the Advanced interface that appears when you preview your post.

You should then see something like this appearing in the content of your post: https://something.smugmug.com/somethign/somethingelse.jpg[/img

(There would also be a closing bracket like this ] above as well, but if I include the closing bracket then the text that I've typed out will no longer appear as the forum software will try to display an image instead of the text.)

If you are following the same steps that I've outlined above and you see the proper code shown in the content of your post as I've pointed out and things still aren't working then please let me know.
