Hi all.

Here is one of my girls. A 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000C3 Police.
The old lady starts to burn oil and loosing compression. So I brought
here to the shop and the engine redo starts... .
The problem with government owned vehicles is not the service that they
did on the engines but all emergency vehicles (Police, Fire Department,
Ambulance) have high idle hours due to idling while on scene with all
emergency lights on.
This will cause especially a temperature problem for the air cooled engines
and so the engines have more idling hours than any civilian car or bike.

Now, here are some pics of the engine, scattered over the engine shop...

And this is how she should look like

Good luck with the work, Markus.

Markus, carry on with your project, and when police cruiser is ready, you have to start ticketing violators to recover your cost :)

If you do give out tickets please give discount to CB 1100 owners.

Interesting. The image of the head: Has it already been cleaned-up? The valves look reasonable too? ... from the image anyway.
Yes, sorry, didn’t mention that the head is already cleaned and the valves are cleaned and ready to get prepared

Markus, I forget to say, CB1100 genuine owners excluded, thanks Houtman for your reminder, otherwise, double all fines = no mercy...:D

Please focus tickets on those that do not understand the purpose and use of turn indicators. Around here, that alone should cover your cost in just a few days!

The same here in NC , people do not use their indicators , perhaps at one time they were an option when you bought a new car.
If the indicators are on they could have been left on from a previous owner of the car
