CB1100 forum miles

Thread starter
Dear riders,

don't get your ridden miles wasted but add them to the forum miles!
Everybody is invited to add him/herself to the forum miles table sheet.

So far this year 2023 all together have ridden 76,137 miles!

I've created the new sheet for the year 2024 as a copy of the sheet of 2023 and removed those participants with no entries in 2023.

Please have a look at: cb1100forum_mileage.xls

Feel free to jump in. It's a self service. You can also still add to the year 2023.
Just don't touch colored fields. Those are meant to be calculated automatically.

Get in touch with me if questions arise.

Have fun and get out riding. :biker:

Cheers,
Django

Thanks for your work, Django.

December 31st is my last ride and distance of 49 miles in 2023.
I was aiming to reach 21,000 miles this year but I'm still 207 miles short due to recent weather and errands :-
Have to check my DLX miles, seem to be missing a few hundred miles for one trip, but not so sure yet???

... for some reason it sounds complicated.

Should be: ODO December 31, 2023 [minus] ODO December 31, 2022 (23:59:59)

The arithmetic doesn't get simpler.

I was sure I had made a trip to the Muskoka area where I had accumulated about 340 miles on my DLX and I hadn't seen miles recorded anywhere near that number on the forum... but either I was wrong, or it was in 2022, or both???

Just updated my mileage book and my spreadsheet along with the Forum's spreadsheet. I haven't kept track of miles ridden on someone else's bike, but probably should for 2024 as I'll be riding rental bikes on two different trips. When we were in South Dakota, I let Ferret ride my bike and I believe I recorded those miles as my own -- not enough for me to worry about and I was riding with him on another bike anyway.

Thanks Django for keeping the mileage sheet up to date.

When's your Scotland trip, MTC?

MTC, rental bikes or your own?
For sure it will be a great ride!
Rentals...part of a tour, actually.

Renedian Motorcycle Tours | Renedian

The other two couple with whom we ride (and who some of you met at the last rally) are joining us so it's essentially a private guided tour. People in our group have used this outfitter for trips to Africa and to New Zealand. This will be Cheryl's and my first outfitted tour and our first trip to Europe ever.

you will love the experience MTC

Pretty excited despite it being 9 months in the future. Also going to ride a rental in Maui in just about 4 weeks. That trip opens up the opportunity for me to hit all 50 US states before I give up the 2-wheeled life.

Yep. You'll love it, MTC. Scotland is a beautiful country. They make excellent whisky there.

What are you riding on the tour?

Yes, it's so excellent, they don't feel the need to include the E in the word, which is ironic given our Yankee propensity toward removing superfluous vowels in the American spelling of English words. They have an itinerary posted on the page I linked and I think it mentions "whisky" at least 4 times. It did not mention haggis, though, and it is on my list to try there. When in Rome.... except if I were going to Rome, it would be pasta.

I believe I'll be on a F750GS with Cheryl on the lowered version of same. However, I may have upgraded to the 850 because the extra $100 didn't seem too bad. Did not like the idea of paying $700+ more for the 1250GS and then having to hop on a bike that's like twice as tall (I may be exaggerating) than my CB1100 for the first time... in a foreign land.. on the 'wrong' side of the road... in front of both friends and strangers.
