Not sure. I'd have to do some reading in the service manual. However, if the pulses aren't consistent the ABS will call a fault, or in one members case the speedometer was wonky (slightly bent rear ring).Exbex1_imp said:

Just as an update on my own situation. I cleaned my calipers thoroughly and since switching to the EBC HH sintered front pads, using a liberal amount of brake-quiet (basically just silicone lube AFAIK?) on the pads I haven't had any issues with the ABS. I still have some front brake squealing, but it's not leading to failure in the ABS at least. I did 20,000 miles on the CB last year so it's working out, whatever problems I had for a bit when the bike was new seem to have just disappeared, I didn't replace anything.
