road comet fairing

Well I've ordered the road comet in silver. I'll post pics. I really liked the Mugen CB1100 with the silver side panels and fairing with the red tankl.
How close is the color match to your silver side panels?

By my eye it is exact. If you want better pics let me know

Can one buy the Road Comet fairing with the touring windscreen? Or do you have to buy two screens?

And I would like to see more pics of it as well. Thanks

I'll get better pics. It's a little confusing on their web site but you can get the fairing with either or both. I kind of regret not buying both and hope I can order the touring screen separate. My other option is the big touring screen ( plexi 2?) from national cycle.

Many thanks to vfrPaul for those pics. I see a silver Road Comet with the touring screen in my future. I just need a couple summer storms and the overtime gods will replenish my checkbook. ( I work for an electric utility)

Finally got mine, too!

Color is beautiful, matches the tank. The guys at Chic Design did their homework.

Nice stainless steel nuts and screws, stuff just lines up nicely and fits well right out of the box. Clearance between the instruments are small and tight, ditto around the turn signal mounts, the spacing around the headlight is nice and even. Tighten everything up a smidge past finger tight to avoid cracking the fiberglas or plastic windscreen.

Some blue Loctite on everything (leftover habit from working on Harleys) and figuried out the secret to inserting the rubber grommets into the main side mounting holes (after struggling for a couple minutes I realized I should just remove the metal tube insert in the screw hole, squish to rubber grommet into the fairing hole, THEN slip the metal tube insert back into the screw hole!).

Aloha,
Huladog

I have a black with stripe and smoked areo-sceen on order. I'm glad to read everyone is happy with them.
would love to see it once it comes in! I went with the aluminum bikini cowl and plan on having it painted and the windscreen tinted

Gentlemen,

I just got one as well. Mine is silver and I haven't even opened the box yet. I'll try to put it on tomorrow.

Chip
would love to see many pics of this when you are done with the install

:D

Too funny; I have the same clock (pulled it off my Moto Guzzi Quota when I sold it) save mine has the white face. Here I thought I was all cute and unique. :) I like your black faced version.

Can somebody post a picture from he cockpit showing the instrument cluster angle of his faring ??
Thanks
Skeeter,

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for here. Instrument cluster angle of fairing??? If you clear that up for me I'll post a photo. I put my silver Road Comet on today and oh my God does it look good. Beyond expectations and pictures don't do it justice. Really beautiful. I'll put up pictures soon.

SUPERCRUZ thanks !

ChipBeck , SUPERCRUZ got it right..
But please do post some photos of your new silver Road Comet too.

I was torn between a flyscreen an the faring but I am leaning more toward the faring.

SUPERCRUZ + ChipBeck what was your deciding factor for going with the Road Comet as opposed to a flyscreen ??

Skeeter,

To me, the Road Comet looks like it belongs on the bike, and even the best flyscreens look like they were added on. The deciding factor for me was style. I just think the faring looks better. Here are some photos of my silver faring.
