In search of those elusive handlebars.
#1

I can’t believe how much of a hassle it is to find a basic set of handlebars. I’ve been on RENTHALS site a bunch and all I see are aluminum handlebars and the same with ANSWER brand. I can find cheap $20 bars but want quality. If I wasn’t dealing with the handlebar weights I could go for a nice set of anodized bars but that’s not the case. Where can I get a good brand of low rise chrome handlebars? I’ve done the search function but didn’t find anything there. I’ve been to several shops and all they have is aluminum bars.

Answer and Renthal are both dirtbike companies.

Your best bet is to look around at other Honda models. You will be surprised what is out there.

Example- my bars are off a Honda Rebel 250.

I found them on a website that listed all the different bars and their specs. No, I don't remember where unfortunately. It was about 2 years ago now. But I probably googled using words such as honda handlebar specification, etc.

Years ago I bought a couple pairs of ANSWER brand bars for my 750,thought maybe I could still find them.

Have you considered the [url=http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=12002&pid=192555#pid192555]Type II low rise bars that Honda designed for the CB1100?

What Guth says. The Type 2 bars from Honda were about the best alteration I made to my CB. Just the right change in egos, better front end feel, and look great. Plus, the bar weights fit straightaway. Visit Mr T!

+1 on the Type II bars. A bit pricey, but worth it. Retains factory look, better ergos IMO, retains factory bar weights, no drilling, easy peasy.

I bought a pair from Flanders, thank you 3rdbike for the tip. I never would have thought it was going to be such a hassle to find a set of handlebars. I got a set that are 2-1/2 low bars, hope they aren’t too close to the tank.
