Because of our lousy spring weather, I haven't had the CB out very much yet, but several times when I've stopped for gas or a coffee with other people around, I get the above comment and question.
They are quite stunned to learn that it's a brand new motorcycle - then they realize their mistake when they get very close to the bike.
But that shouldn't be too much of a surprise because there are so few around and have only been available in Canada since 2013.
I'm sure it has happened to many of you too.

Yep, mostly old codgers with poor eyesight, they also point the bike out to their wives as you ride past, probably saying "Ooh look Gladys, remember when I had one of those?"

The other day a guy next to me at a red light says hey man what year is that, I said it's actually a new 14, a retro bike I said,he's like man I knew that was a CB but it couldn't be 40 years old!

yeah, One guy approached me at the parking lot and said
"What a well maintained bike, what year it is?"

I've actually had two recently that walked up and said "Is that the new CB 1100?" Word must be getting around.

I'm sure it has happened to many of you too.
It's been happening to me regularly since last year. It's gotten to the point where I can see the question coming just by the expression on the persons face. Kind of a quizzical, confused look.
One leather and denim clad Harley rider at a stop light took me completely by surprise. Rather than inquire about the bike's year, he said, "Hey, is that the new CB1100?". Who woulda guessed?
