Hello,
I have a [url=https://www.sears.com/craftsman-professional-1500-lb-motorcycle-atv-jack/p-00950191000P?ef_id=EAIaIQobChMIgq2-pO_w4QIVFdlkCh1kuA7AEAQYASABEgK6svD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!8592!3!317853285778!!!g!525640642020!&sid=IDx01192011x000001x1651384318&utm_campaign=9032956&utm_group=62569197599-317853285778&utm_term=pla-525640642020&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIgq2-pO_w4QIVFdlkCh1kuA7AEAQYASABEgK6svD_BwE]Craftsman MC / ATV jack (the yellow one) that's probably about 12 years old. It had been working fine until yesterday when I raised my KLR650...but then it wouldn't lower. Now it has been several months if not half a year since I used the jack, but if I remember right, to lower mc, you raise it slightly, then push up on lock bar so that it sets in the clasps, turn counter clockwise and it lowers...this time...nada. I took the handle off and it appears that something isn't engaging the piston. Had to pull the mc off the jack to get it down...kind of trick but got off w/out damaging anything. What am I asking....???
Anybody every have anything similar happen and what to do to troubleshoot? I've seen a few things online, but nothing really that I can pinpoint and say, ah there's the problem... a number of guys said to just buy a new one.
