Mobile 1 10W40 motorcycle oil and Honda OEM filter. This is what I have used for my last three bikes. I drive about 10,000 miles per year.

See? Nine pages of responses to this thread (and many others) prove that oil brand and viscosity really isn't that critical, as long as we reasonably follow the manufacturer's recommendations and we actually change it, not just talk about it. No one has yet complained of engine failure even though we're all doing our own thing. Use what you like, for whatever reason that might be.
