Is there any adjustment to lower the rear brake lever in order to keep my big foot off the brake when riding? When I first purchased my 2014 new, it only took about a week for the rear rotor to cup and cause the rear wheel to bind. Honda said I was "riding the brake" but replaced the rotor at no charge. I had the lever heated and bent downward but we went too far. Now that I am able to ride again, I bought a new lever and plan to install it today. My question is this: Is there any adjustment to change the height of the brake lever so my big foot will not touch the lever until I need to brake?

I ride 90 % of the time with the balls of my feet on the foot rests ( better control) and have the front of my feet pointed out a little , no change of riding the rear brake this way. Perhaps it is easier for you to change the placing of your feet than changing the pedal.

White Dog, It can be adjusted but not a whole lot. I'm not typing the manual procedure here, but if you PM me your email address or phone # I'll shoot a pic of the page and send it to you. After adjustment you may have to adjust the rear brake light switch. That is easy too.
Not this helps you any, but you are not the only member that had your exact same problem and warped a rotor. At least one other member bent his lever too.

Even a half inch would help. Is there that much lever travel available?

Good info to know. My first priority, which is the point of this post, is to get my rear brake parts back together so I can operate the cycle safely.

With the lead provided by Lord Popgun, I was able to reassemble my rear brake properly and then lowered the lever about 1" below the top of my foot peg, thus hopefully preventing me from "riding the brake". I also installed a foot peg from a Gold Wing which is flat and approximately 2" deep to provide a better platform for my boot. It has been years since I put that foot peg on and I may have had to modify it slightly to allow for easy movement.
