Apparently in real use, you use this tool to put a taut rubber bander over general ball sack area and, the balls just shrivel up and fall off?????

Your on the money mate, it is for putting rubber rings on the tails/balls of lambs.

I love your profile pic too btw Thumbs Up

You can count on a Kiwi to know about these things … Tongue

I used that type of tool hundreds of times on sheep and calves but I never put RLET's on my bikes .

Lord Popgun is speechless. I don't know what to say or make of this.

But it does get the RLETs on. That's what counts!

There must be collateral cost somewhere.

Something for nothing? No disturbance in the Force? How can that be?

"Assisted installation" - that is like riding a bicycle with an engine.

Do the game rules need updating?

Not at all, Au₂O₃. As his lordship says, getting the RLETs on is what counts. In other words there’s no benefit until they’re on so how they get there is immaterial. Always remember that the forum guru responsible for making even Lord Popgun wise to the RLET—The Ferret himself—had his RLETs installed by a dealer. Twice.

So no "Padawan training" enroute to RLET destination?

My perception of the journey is changing - maybe even becoming diluted. Undecided

But, as you say, if Ferret had a pion dealer install 'em ("Twice"), then I suppose there is some truth in the words.

Never had one of these handy little tools when I helped castrate lambs long, long ago. Two men and a sharp knife helped many a lamb turn his attention from the ladies to grass. Not being a big fan of tight underwear, I am not sure this is a more humane method. Not that there is one.
But, if there were any demand for RLETS, this gadget would be in big demand.
