I've read that some people have used a rear only tire in the front. I was wondering if anyone has done it on the CB. I got the correct size but didn't realize that it was rear only. They are bias ply if that matters.

(wow) Would have not considered that on the CB.
Is it to give the CB a kind of fatty bobber look?

No. I accidentally ordered a rear only tire for the front. It's the correct size for the front but it says rear only int the sidewall. I just don't want to go through returning it if I don't have to.

Don't do it. There are many scooter type tyres that are interchangeable between front and rear and are specifically marked as such but F & R marked tyres are designed for different purposes. You may even find the tread pattern is completely reversed and the profile is different. It just isn't worth compromising with your bikes handling.

Tires that are identified as front or rear only are done so for a reason. The majority of the torque transmitted through a rear tire is the result of the engine driving the bike forward. The only torque transmitted through the front tire is due to braking forces, and is in the opposite direction of torque applied through the rear tire. Don't quote me on this, but I think the tire cords are wrapped in different directions for front and rear tires.

I'm just going to return the tire and get the correct one. Thanks to all...
