12mile, I'd give the TPS reset a try in your case. Its free and just might do the trick.

and maybe a couple ounces of Seafoam in your gas tank for good measure to make sure the injectors are clean.

+1 to that. I'm just running the last of my injector cleaner out the tail pipe and will be interested to see if there is any change in my now perfect idle.

MM, Would mind saying what brand of gas you use?

I often wonder if the better fuel from top tier companies could prevent some idle problems because of better "cleaning" agents .
Are some problems due to engine modifications or did some get better after "up grading " ?
No proof of any of the above, just thinking !

That was my thought too Houtman and why I asked him. FWIW, I only use top tier fuel in my bikes and car.

It may be that an injector cleaner needs to be used every now and again.

Popgun, around my way we have locally based company called WaWa. They are a convenience store and gas re seller, not an oil company. So the gas comes from who knows where.

We have some Tier one stations around here, but they are rare. Usually have to get what you can get while out riding.

We have WaWa in the Virginia Beach/Norfork area too. Its popular and has great sandwiches, but I don't use it.

Its amazing how they've grown. Wawa started as a dairy not far from where I grew up. They used to have these tiny little stores that sold milk, cold cuts, tasty cakes and cigarettes. Their very first store was within walking distance from my house. They recently closed it in favor of one of these modern gas station stores.

When they first started selling gas the prices were less than everybody else's. It probably is crap and maybe it's a contributing factor. Truth to tell I never thought of it.
