Fully synthetic or not.

I have been running Rotella T5 15w40 synthetic blend in my 2017 EX. Sounds quiet and shifts smooth as butter.

I just find it awfully easy to choose the spec. the manufacturer states, it takes all the guessing out of it. I find the biggest impact on my bike for gearbox smoothness is the correct adjustment of the chain slack.

I have been using the Mobil 1 M108 or M110 depending on price and availability. Has anyone here used the Mobil M1MC-134 motorcycle specific filter and noticed any difference between that and the M108/M110 or the Honda OEM 15410-MFJ-D01?

The CalSci post you referenced shows the thread and PSI ratings, but I can't find anywhere that references the Honda 15410-MFJ-D01 specifics on PSI. Obviously it has the same threads, but I am curious to know if those are truly an identical replacement as CalSci suggests.

Asking because I am wondering if I should be using the motorcycle specific Mobil M1MC-134 .vs the M108/M110.

As far as making a difference that's more of a science/engineering question that i don't know the answer to.

If you could get the MC filter at half the price of the M110, would you use it instead?

I don't see why not. I marketing aside I don't think its a bad thing to go with a model or product thats made specifically for a motorcycle over just a general motor.

Again I don't know if there truly is a difference but you're gonna be safe with either option so why not grab the less expensive one IMO.

You will have to excuse me if this has been covered before but coming to the end of winter here and time for some fresh oil for the summer. I would like to use fully synthetic but remember that fully synthetic made the clutch slip on my old suzuki bandit. What oil do you all recommend. Castrol or Motul are ready available here.

As long as you use motorcycle-specific oil, either regular or synthetic will be fine. Been using Castrol synthetic in mine since I've had it and no slipping problems at all.
