hey all. first time poster. I am considering moving to a 2014 to 2017 CB110EX or DLX. As I understand it the DLX came with ABS but did any of the EX's come with ABS? I am looking on cycle trader and have not seen any EX with ABS.
Were the DLX and EX made in the same model years? Thank you!

CB1100s were sold in the US for 3 years only.
In 2013, there were red tank models, the ABS model, A, and the near identical looking standard.
In 2014, there was the black cast-wheeled standard, and the red dual-exhaust ABS DLX model.
In 2017, there only the wire-wheeled, red tanked ABS model.
All CB1100s have a speed sensor ring (with multiple slots) on the rear wheel. The ABS models have a speed sensor ring on the front too.

That implies that the CB1100A was not available in the U.S. I reckon it was just called "CB1100" in 2014? (standard offering in the U.S.)

An area of confusion between models is found in many online parts catalogs. Most will list the 2014 standard black model as CB1100AC, the DLX as CB1100SAAC.
I'm don't know what the first A after the model is, but all US bikes have them, so I presume it means America. The C means California or 50-state smog compliant.
With the DLX model, technically a CB1100S, the first A is for (America?), the second one is for ABS, and then California again.

Steven, I think the simple answer to your question is that both the 2014 DLX and 2017 EX are equipped with ABS.
A small number of 2013 models had ABS fitted, but be very careful if you are offered one. Check that there is an ABS sensor ring on the front wheel and that the VIN starts JH2SC655.
