In Arizona, there is a Vehicle License Tax similar to Personal Property Tax in other states. You can look it up on AZMVD if you're curious. Basically, the Dealer listed their price of $9,779.11, then added Doc Fee and some extra in the Registration. So total to Dealer was $10,044.27. The rest of the $11K went to the State for Tax, Registration, and Vehicle Property Tax, Reg, Title etc....

Hope this helps others with their purchase. This was the last ABS and they werent' getting another until Jan. He also mentioned they had 4 Non-ABS modes in crates.

You can definitely get a better deal after the initial buying frenzy, but overall, I'm out the Door for MSRP so I'm happy and love the bike!

In Oklahoma, the dealership has nothing to do with the registration, tag, title, or tax. All of that takes place at the Tag Agents Office, which is a representative of the state. After you pay the dealer for the bike, you take the certificate from the manufacturer to the tag agent to register the bike. There, you pay a tag fee, registration fee, and an excise tax. You leave with your tag. The tag always stays with the vehicle when you sell it.

The cheapest OK dealer sells the CB1100 for $9388. There is a dealer in Arkansas, not too far who sells it for $8999. I think the total fees at the tag agent comes to about $500-$600. I don't know how and I wonder how that compares to everywhere else. FWIW

$9135.00 plus tax, tag, fees.... Brand new, cash sale, non abs back on June 1st.
And I got the Honda luggage rack and bike cover at 25% off retail along with free
installation of the rack and a free battery tender. I think I did pretty good.

Yep, I'd say you did well. I guess I did ok too then. I just couldn't help wonder if mine had sold at the list price of $9999 if they still would have added on dealer prep, freight, etc. I never had to pay that on new bikes in the past because it was included in the marked price. Of course sales tax you can't avoid. I just go to the DMV and write a check for it along with the license and registration.

I just purchased a 2013. I have not put gas in it yet. it's brand new, zero miles. I love the spokes wheels, and the pipes on the 2014, Could care less about 6th gear, and actually prefer the smaller tank. I am going to sell the 2013 I just purchased ( haven't even ridden yet ). and wait for a 2014. Anybody know anyone who wants a screaming deal on a brand new zero mile 2013, call 407-617-3417 or gregdavis3@aol.com 8750 buys bike.

Unbelievably, MotoSport Hillsboro here in Oregon is still advertising a new 2013 CB1100 for $7499 (one available). That's a crazy deal.
