Bucket List

Looks quite a bit smaller than the two MOA rallies I've been to (Hamburg, NY Das Rally 2016 and Lebanon, TN Scoot Boot'n Boogie 2019).

I’m heading to the BMW Top ‘o the Rockies rally in Paonia, CO, in a few weeks. Attendance, normally close to 1,000, will supposedly be down this year. I’m looking forward to some great riding in that part of the state!

Made it home! Despite the heat the first 6 days, it was a great trip!

My main lessons....make reservations for lodging (even campers were having a hard time getting spots)....if you get off the interstates, pay attention to your gas stops, keep it topped off whenever you can. It's easy to go 100 miles without services available.

Last I heard the MOA had about 4000-5000 in attendance. The only complaint they were light on vendors that normally come.

Little rain last two days....but we had a AIS time (ask ferret) at 5:00 AM Wed trying to beat one storm coming behind us and not catch the one in front of us.

We were pretty lucky (see little motorcycle on Garmin VI radar). Not overly impressed with Garmin, but when it raining and you can't keep your phone out, the radar comes in handy.

The dash board reminds me like flying an airplane with onboard radar lol

Paul, congrats on a great bucket-list experience! Glad you made it home safely. Sounds like the K-bike treated you well. If you didn’t get enough, head back out this way in two weeks and join me in Paonia!

ROFL "AIS". Everybody Loves Raymond reference. Really funny episode.

Glad you had a great time offroad. What an incredible riding experience that relatively few motorcyclists actually get to experience. Thumbs Up

Biker that offroad dude has become a rider!
