Wow, that's very interesting, and ornate for a Folly. So, by that definition, all of the newly constructed commercial space around my vacant commercial neighborhood, is probably a Folly.

we have quite a few of those round here too. Still vacant since 2008.

That is indeed a long time for a 21st century Folly.

Maybe some of them are not so vacant after all. Possibly worth a deeper visit with the ol' CB1100.

Froze my nuts off riding to a village called Termonfeckin just over 20 miles away today, to get a photo of an important landmark....... Ireland's second potato vending machine. The lady who owns it is a bit of a celebrity and has featured on the internet as well as radio and tv programmes. My friend (ZZR 1100) and I then tried to thaw out with a bowl of chowder from the fish shop at Clogherhead harbour.

A potato vending machine... fancy that!

I'm planning to take my CB1100 to work in L.A. on Sunday to see if there are any landmarks I can take pictures of. I haven't visited the new SoFi Stadium yet. I might swing by there, should be a quiet day with nothing going on.

Ahhh, frozen nuts, potatoes from a vending machine and hot chowder after a day of riding. What more could a boy want?
