How do I post photo's from an iPhone?
#1

How can I post photos from my iPhone 4S. That's all I generally take with me any more... and I keep getting a message that the file is too big. ???????

Or my iPad... since the cloud moves them over from the phone.

The help link (at the top of the page) has a section on posting pictures. You can link from a sharing service like Flickr or you can shrink your image size -- I have been using simpleresize (app) from my iPad. Resized images are less clear but it's easy.

I use photobucket to host the pictures and then insert the images here.

+1 for photobucket. the iphone app allows me to get the [img] code (it copies directly to my clipboard) and then i can paste it in the thread. so easy and fast. plus photobucket has great editing tools.

Most general devices take high megapixel photos. Those are generally large in size. If you resize your image down to say 800x600 at the smallest, you shouldn't lose too much detail. When you try to keep the image size the same but reduce the file size is when things go awry and you lose big time image detail.

Generally for forums I either will reduce to 800x600 or 1024x768.

just my two cents...
