Indoor storage cover.
#1

In Maine, you can't start thinking about winter storage soon enough. I received my storage cover yesterday and I am very pleased with the quality and fit of it.

I ordered the Guardian Ultralite Plus #26035-00 in size medium. I do not have a windshield, but this cover would easily fit over a flea flicker type screen and it covers my rear rack. The cover has a self-contained stuff bag at the rear end, clinch strap under the engine, and elastic at the base.

Here is link to the one I have, about $54.00 plus shipping.

Oh yes, I've romped a Sportster and got romped by an R6. Just no really high speed stuff. A 5 miles strip @ 45 is all there is for highway, the rest is all slow twisties. I do make alot of loops with nowhere to go. Takashi @ Samu is a big GP fan, he's jealous we have 3 now.
Austin is my new favoite place with Moto GP and F1, like Indy used to be.

Winter storage has taken a back seat to rain gear the last couple of winters for me here in Oregon. On the days where it is simply too wet (usually rainfall is pretty light), or temps nearing freezing (doesn't happen all that often), I'll drive or take transit to work, otherwise I'm on two wheels. The worst part is how dirty the bike gets.

Speaking of Austin, I lived in there for eleven years, then moved out to Oregon ten years ago (long before the Circuit of The Americas was built). The thing I miss the most when comes to Austin would be the food, but I personally don't miss the weather at all. I just couldn't hack the hot weather at all, I was miserable and spent most of the summer hibernating, apparently my genes are just more attuned to cooler climates. I originally moved to Austin for the music, and I moved to Oregon for the climate/scenery/outdoor activities. I still have lots of friends and family back in Texas, all over the state (before Austin, I lived in Dallas, Lubbock and San Angelo). The hill country would have some nice rides when cooler weather shows up. Ever ride out towards Bandera and thereabouts silascopathic?

Ahhh. I miss the ride out to Bandera, then up towards Kerrville on my 919. The roads here in East TX (Rockwall) are mostly pin-straight.
