Now you're making me jealous! Barbers is on my bucket list.

I look forward to seeing more photos of the Corbin. I think I prefer the lines of this saddle over the K&H from Japan. Thanks.

This is kinda related. I'm away riding for a month and have a larger load of gear than I normally carry. I thought I had the loading figured but yesterday ended up being forced to the front of the seat. There were two consequences: first, I was very saddle sore in spite of the AirHawk; secondly, my knees were very sore by the end of the day. I'm short—5'7" with a 30" inseam, but a couple of inches forward played havoc with my knees.

A bit of load realignment this morning has made the bike a whole lot more comfortable.

A month? Nice! Now that you let the cat out of the bag, you have to post pictures and ride report so we can all live vicariously through you. Ride safely!

Yeah, it's a hard life I lead. Smile

There won't be much ride reporting from the road, I fear, but I'll do stuff when I get home.

Sounds fantastic! Take and keep a journal. A month long trip on a motorcycle is something special. It would be great to have certain memories jotted down on paper (and hopefully here too)!

I am sorry that I have not posted a picture of the higher Corbin seat yet.
My wife post the pictures for me and she is working all of this week from 6 am until 9 pm (hospital)
She is of this weekend but I am leaving for the AIMEXPO very early Friday and will post the picture when back next week.

Here is the picture of the higher Corbin Seat as promised a few weeks ago. This seat is softer than the standard Corbin seat due to more padding. This seat suits me better as I am 6 ft. tall, but it might be too high for shorter riders.

I'm thinking of eventually getting a taller Corbin, perhaps half an inch taller than standard.

My question is whether or not they can maintain the pocket profile of the standard with the extra padding? Houtman's seat with the extra inch of padding seemed to lose this profile and tends to look a bit overstuffed compared to a typical Corbin.

Has anyone else ordered a taller Corbin? If I requested that both the driver and passenger area were only a half inch taller would the pocket profile with integrated lower back support for the driver be maintained?
