Center Stand Shaft Bolt, Yoshimura RS3 Exhaust

I am expecting the delivery of my new slip-on Yoshimura RS3 exhaust today and hope to do the install as soon as possible. The instructions for removing the stock muffler include the removal of the center stand shaft bolt. In my previous experience with center stand install/removal (on Honda motorcycles) there was always a bolt that was reverse threaded and had some seriously strong lock-tight.

Question for those of you who have messed with the center stand:

Is the CB1100 center stand shaft bolt reverse threaded?

I included a screen shot of the removal instructions [provided by Yoshimura] with this post. Feel free to offer any additional advice.

Is it just the slip on? I don’t believe you have to do anything besides take the heat shield off, remove the clamp and then remove the bolt on the passenger peg piece. Stock muffler just slides right off. I don’t see why you would have to remove the center stand bolt for any slip on with this bike.

The only thing I can think of is maybe the bolt gets in the way of the muffler and they supply a different one to replace it with?

Thanks everyone. The center stand bolt needed to be removed in order to install a new center stand adapter. All is good.

Next question: What is the torque value on the exhaust mount bolt? I ordered my shop manual but it has not arrived yet.

If you mean the the one that hangs the muffler, it is 15 ft lbs. The muffler band bolt is also 15 ft lbs.

So how does it sound?

The pitch is lower and you can 'feel' it a little more (more resonant). I like the feel of more bass! It is not loud, like some other aftermarket exhausts, just a more resonant lower note with a little more amplitude. I can also hear it a little when riding, which is nice. I have always liked the look of these and was exited to get them on the bike. I got a chance to hear a set on another CB1100 with many more miles on it: The sound was different. So, I assume the sound will change over time. The sound might get a little louder and more resonant as everything settles.
