Turn signal relocation -- Making room for my backseat rider
#1

I'm trying to move my rear turn signals back on the bike to make room for saddle bags to sit comfortably while riding two-up.

Does any know whether the Saddleman Universal kit fits the 2014 Cb11? (http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/saddl...ation-kit)

Or, can anybody recommend another way to do this? Thanks!

I successfully used the Saddlemen universal turn signal relocation bracket on my 2014 CB1100. See here: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9330

However, the bracket is all I used from the kit so I can't speak for the rest of the items included. The panniers I purchased came with wire extenders that were great. No cutting, splicing, crimping. I'm afraid this doesn't help you much in the end. Good luck!

I just realized that your idea of two up is different from mine! Haha! Great photo!

I put in some work on this project today, and I can't tell whether I messed up something in the electric connection, or if the rear turn signals were always only signals, or whether they would be lit up generally when the bike is running like the other lights.

Would somebody be so kind as to take a look at their rear turn signals next time a cb is started up and let me know whether the rear turn signals are constantly lit?

Much appreciated!

In Australia, rear indicators are not constantly lit. My recollection is that the US ones aren't either, although the front ones are.

The rear turn signals are only turn signals. They would be red if they were also taillights.

I just installed the one from Samurider. He sold it to me without the saddlebag wire frame. I'm happy ... now I don't have to sit on my saddlebag/tailbag combo luggage.

Saw saddle bag brackets with winker bracket at http://www.samurider.com/?p=13318 . Takashi Takase said I could just buy winker bracket for $100, so I did.
*
Added 1 pic of bracket with signals attached.
Added 1 pic of completed install.
Added 1 pic of taillight bracket mod for wiring.
Added 1 pic of under fender wiring harness (using 1/2" wire conduit).
*
Can provide more install details if anyone wishes. I just followed what a few other forum members did, but streamlined the wiring just a little bit more ... love this forum Smile
