Where to mount auxiliary lights

Just a quick follow up. I got my lights mounted, and chose the front mounting bolt location on the fender. I fabbed up a quick extension and L-bracket from aluminum tube and a shelf bracket. The lights are Rigid Ignite single LEDs which I pulled off of my BMW before I sold it. I like these lights because they're very compact, throw out a lot of light, and also have a dimming function so I'm not blinding drivers at night.

I now have my all-important triangle light pattern up front, which helps distinguish me from a one-eyed car in L.A. traffic. Combined with my obnoxious LED brake light flasher, one more measure of safety against the cagers.

looks perfect, but considering that the mounting point is just one bolt and it's below the dampening effect of the forks, i wonder if you'll experience any tilting/slipping as the miles drag on?

Eh, they way a few ounces each, but I'll check them periodically. Actually, they're designed to be mounted to a GoPro mount. Not my preferred location, but with the horns below the headlight and the turn signals, the sprung area on the upper forks was a bit crowded, and I like to keep the three beams away from each other so they can be seen easily from a distance.

Ha! Funny you should mention that. I transferred the Givi trunk, brake light flasher and auxiliary lights from the old bike to this one. I now have newer and undeniably more reliable electronics, (archaic German vs dumb-simple Honda) and all I really don’t have are the heated grips. But, my new daily commute is much shorter so I can live without’em.

lol - So-K. We tend to acclimatize to our region. I chuckle in L.A. seeing people driving with the windows up and blowin' heat when it is a gorgeous night time 60F outside.

Lol I am like an old person from Florida now. In my teens to 50s I didnt need any heated gear at all. At 60 I got my first heated gear but only used it if it got below 40. Now nearing 70 I find myself turning it on if it's below 50. It's got to be over 85 for me to wear my mesh gear.
