Fuel tank protection.
#1

Recently I bought Tank Bag and Mounting Base. I´m afraid that Tank Bag Mounting Base will eventually rub and scratch the paint off the tank.
Can you please give me advise how to protect the tank paint before I attach the Tank Mounting Base to the tank.

I use clingy clear stuff on my tanks under a tank bag, and in front of where my zipper or belt buckle may hit

The latter couple suggestions are handy workarounds.

Remember to clean the chosen barrier between it and the tank from time-to-time to minimize any trapped abrasive dust slowly dulling the paint finish. Even vendor-supplied tank bag magnetic bases need a cleaning from time-to-time, depending how harsh your riding environment has been.

An alternative might be to utilize a tank ring (e.g. from Givi, SW-Motech) which tends to lift (at least) smaller tank bags above the paint surface.

m in sc you can see it here: https://rhinowalk.com/collections/moto-b...nting-base

Thank you GoldOxide for your good advice. Unfortunately my tank does not have tanklock system.
