Love my 13' CB it doesn't have more then 2800 miles on it. The situation is that my girlfriend has moved an hour an forty/ 2 hours out of state. With Gas prices rising , Motorcycle MPG looks real good come spring. My current (very fortunate) predicament is that my uncle gave me his 2007 Bonneville over the summer with less than 5k on the clock so now I have 2 very similar styled bikes. I have been contemplating maybe parting ways with the CB and finding a used ST1300/Concours14/CTX1300 but was was wondering if maybe a nice big Windshield and a Corbin/lamm/Russel seat might be a good or even cheaper option.

Two hours is nothing on either bike imo. A small flyscreen, a tank bag, and a tail pack would be plenty on either along with good mc gear and a full face helmet.

Depends on your comfort level, but I have a ‘13 CB and a ‘12 Bonneville, both with flyscreens and could easily do a couple hours on either. I thought I’d want more variety due to the similarity of both, but like the style and comfort of them both too much to want to give up either.

If you are comfortable enough on the CB1100 for a two hour trek, then that is not a bad situation at all. I reckon the same goes for the Bonnie.
Which gives you a better throb?
Is one more fuel efficient over the other?

Give the Bonnie to your girlfriend and you both have only an hour ride to meet up.

Don’t buy fly screens and you’ve some cabbage to blow on midpoint accommodation.

An alternative would be to look for new a girlfriend closer to your home....
Looking for a new girl is like shopping for a new bike , very exciting but not easy to get a test ride.

Just my opinion , put a 19 tooth front sprocket on the cb. Read some reviews on windshields here. Some shields are worse than without. Good luck either way.
