I
have just installed a Staintune muffler. Really nice visually and sounds great.I have a flat spot around 2500 revs. I have been told that that is common with big capacity four cyl engines as that is where emission levels are taken and they map them lean. I am thinking of installing a power commander to remedy this. I must add that you could probably live with the problem but correcting it would greatly enhance the ride.

According to DynoJet:
"...on some models if you are above 2250 rpm and under 30% throttle position, the stock system will gradually and temporarily lean out the air fuel ratio in an attempt to achieve an air/fuel ratio of 14.7:1 (stoichiometric)."
Therefore, a Power Commander may be just the ticket for you to add more fuel in this range. However, you may want to try the cheaper approach using an O2 Lambda Sensor Eliminator first without the Power Commander. Power Commander provides one of these with their complete kit, but you can get one separately to try it out first.
