The actual required services by mileage
#1
I am sorry for new threading this, but I did not feel I had a choice.
But I am well over 130,000 miles on my CB at this point and I want to find out which services did I miss.
Thank you.
And I am a little surprised I couldn't find an answer in the manual!

it should be in the manual, a chart which should say Oil filter & oil at 4,000 miles and every 4,000 miles there after (for example). Divide your miles by recommended service and you get when the service is due.

For US bikes I think valve inspection is like every 8000 so at 130,000 your valves would be due for their 16th valve inspection, new shimming as necessary to bring into spec

Spark plugs every 8000..so that would be the 16th time to replace those as well

air cleaner....
etc etc

At 100,000 I would surely inspect wheel bearings front & rear and rear wheel dampers for the sprocket, change hydraulic fluids (every 12K, or 24 months), fork oil....

And what is "well over" mean? 135? 140? 150? Did your odometer quit working?

Nice to know that you have racked up that many miles. Surely one of the highest on this forum. Any major issues?

I think to even try to answer your question, we would need to know what previous maintenance your bike has had, and at what mileages.

For me, a redneck told me at the Honda shop where I bought the motorcycle that this machine would run forever...
And so far that looks to be true!
But I use the green color of my chosen Motul oil which to me that was my best choice!
I can see that once the green color has turned a more dirty color that it's time to change the oil!!!
But I may take the long list from the Ferret and try to ask for things to be done!
Thank you all!!

Streetshark, assuming your CB1100 is a standard model, there's a user manual on line for the 2010 [url=http://www.hondampe.com.au/docs/owning_a_honda/owners_manuals/motorcycles/CB1100A2010.pdf]here. The standards all used the same schedule until 2017. You'll find the maintenance schedule on page 80.

There's a European User Manual for the 2013 models [url=https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzRg_M5aG2O4TlFYY0Vyc1U3aTA/view]here. The maintenance schedule is on page 38.

Motoul is VERY good oil.
Was not aware of it until my Moto Guzzi V7II needed 10W-60.
With separate trans and driveshat hub fluids, the crankcase took only 2 liters.
Did well on rides up to 116F.

Which part of the USA 3.5 million square miles?
Corrosion issues near ocean?
Salt on roads in winter?
