Jan and Feb were very good, March and April not so much. Now that the wife has moved in, I have to get used to riding a lot less than I did last year
![]() I will have some work-arounds at my disposal later but the current situation is tight with free time.

Bought the bike with just over 2,000 kms on it in September 2013. It recently ticked over 10,000 kms and I've put a good many of them on the bike this year. I've been lucky: it's been a pretty dry summer so there have been more riding days than usual. I've done the best I can to make use of them.
![]() Ferret, it took me a couple of goes to figure out what Pterodactyl was saying, but I, too, got there in the end. "Very droll" we'd say.

Been putting a lot of miles on since buying the bike in January. Three trips to Florida, a charity ride plus a lot of local riding for pure enjoyment. The rain has kept us off the bikes for a week now as the road from my house is just too muddy for two wheels. Supposed to be beautiful weather starting Saturday and we will be able to get out now that the road is getting dried out. Two more trips to Florida in the next two weeks to Dunnellon and Tallahassee. I love this bike and try to use it for any trips that don't require the cage.
Hope everyone has a safe riding season.

I have not been able to ride as much this year as I wanted. I think I have ridden a about 1400 miles so far. I have found a way to work a great deal of my business from home now so that has been a huge plus in one respect. Weather permitting, I roll on 2 wheels when I have to go somewhere. Just yesterday, I filled up the truck and thought to myself I wonder if I can make this tank of gas last a month? That is the plan and we will see how it works out. I am so busy with life that I feel guilty when I am not working. I really need to get out more. I have one or two little things that I need to do to my 750 and have just put it on the back burner and the heck of it is that it will only take just a little bit of time to do them. I sure have enjoyed it thus far though what little I have gotten out on it.

Terrible
I brought my CB 1st of October and I have 2300miles on her. Bad winter and now it seems to rain everyday that I would have had the opportunity to ride. Barely averaging one commute to work a week.

We've had a stretch of beautiful warm weather here in Seattle. Out and about today at Greenlake in north Seattle. Trying out my new Honda accessory rack and top box. Works great, makes the bike a really useful grocery-getter. Of course my wife wonders why it takes me two hours to ride down to Safeway for a gallon of milk.....

57 miles... that's it. from the Dealer in Green bay home, and that was 3 weeks ago. Snow and cold rain are the order of the day. Maybe 60 next Thursday. I sit on my bike and go Vroom! Vroom!
Who thought up this stupid thread anyways. Oh, never mind.

Typically 100 miles a day during the week on the CB1100. Then 250 a day on Saturday and Sunday on my V-Strom.

I'm in the Chicago Area and got my 2014 CB1100 (non-deluxe) about 4 weeks ago. I've already taken it on a couple 100+ mile rides to and from the suburbs.
Other than that it's been a daily commuter whenever it isn't raining, which isn't often as of late April/early May. On a good week i'll put 150 miles on. I just can't stand commuting any other way! Chicago drivers are OK, but it's the tourists you need to watch out for. An 1100CC beast like this gives me the torque I need to just shoot past them and not deal with their idiotic swerving & erratic braking. Essential commuting accessory. |
