I hope you mentioned the Contact US button problem so Mr. T can do something about that.

Japan is a fantastic country to visit. The toughest part is the language barrier. i think part of Takashi's success is his English. Dealing with other Japanese company's can be frustrating or scary as they rely on digital translators to communicate. I have a Japanese business friend that I have been working with for almost 20 years now. Every year her English gets better and my Japanese stays the same (about 3 words). About 10 years ago I asked her to teach me Japanese and she refused. Said Americans sounded stupid when they try to talk Japanese. Well, I certainly do.

Chapomis we had a Japanese friend about 30 years ago ( married a military buddy of mine and moved back here with him) and I asked her to teach me some Japanese, and she did,( can't write it but can speak it) however she said there were 7 different Japanese dialects depending on the area of the country you lived in and they all spoke Japanese a little differently, plus the same word can have several meanings depending on how it is spoken, softly, harshly etc and yes I sound stupid when I speak it, but it was melodius coming from her.

Normally when I order from Samurider it takes 3 days to arrive in Belgium (yeah, Belgium, I know).

Latest shipment was sent on the 23rd of March and now we are 7 full days later and the tracking still shows the package left Japan and thats it.

Post services in Belgium say the package has not arrived yet.
And they ignore my question of the attack on the airport could have anything to do with it. (I am under the impression that international air packages arrive in customs wich are actually in the airport in Brussels/Zaventem)
And I know for a fact that since the attack, the airport is not functional in passenger transport, but I dunno what the activities are for international packages and their customs.

Either way, the postal services answer is vague to say the least.

According to this [url=http://www.lloydsloadinglist.com/freight-directory/news/Freighter-flights-resume-at-Brussels-Airport/65951.htm#.VvvgeHUrL0o]article, air cargo flights resumed on March 23rd. Apparently some cargo flights were diverted to other airports though.

Riko, you and your countrymen and women have my deepest sympathies for that horrible attack. Sad

Thx man!

did some inquiries on local boards and I seem not to be the only one....as long as I know that is the reason, I have no problem waiting at all.
But misinformation can be a b*tch.

It seems our national post service does not know whats going on and prefer to give bad info instead.

Thx for the sympathies.
Hmmm negative vibes. I just got an update after a phone call to the local postal service.

It does seem to be a problem from the sender in Japan, not in Belgium.
They said to just show him the tracking code of the local postal service:
[url=http://track.bpost.be/btr/web/#/search?itemCode=EL037835388JP&lang=en]http://track.bpost.be/btr/web/#/search?i...JP&lang=en

It shows the same thing, package on its way...Confused

The problem could not be here in Belgium, it could be so since all air cargo flights resumed on March 23rd as curlyjoe stated. Undecided

Curious to see what options I get from Takashi now and this can be resolved.
I ordered Datyona leg shields and a screen for my fairing, so its not the end of the world.

I must say, the transaction went thru some modifications.
Payment was done the 29th of February, a month ago but I asked Takashi to wait to ship my package untill the 21st or March and he did sent it out the 22nd due to a national holiday.
And the package left the Japan the 23rd.

I would not be the least surprised if all cargo coming into Belgium now is slowed through customs. Mine was delayed a couple extra days in customs.

International postal cargo often rides on passenger jets, rather than dedicated cargo jets. Fedex and UPS have their own jet fleets, but packages sent between postal services usually uses cargo space on commercial airliners.

hmm if this is true, it could explain why my package hasn't arrived yet since Zaventem still does not handle passenger traffic untill this moment
reassuring message from,Takashi

You had bad timing and the package is stuffed up. Patience no doubt is required. Sorry for what happened and the terrible loss of life. My thoughts are with the families that lost loved ones and all of you suffering this situation.

I once sent a guy in Australia a $1500 spotting scope that got "lost" for 6 weeks, and it was Express Mail International.

It showed up eventually none worse for the wear.

I've personally shipped over 10,000 parcels worldwide in the last 13 years and have never lost a one.

I know you are anxious, but it's really not panic time yet, IMHO
