I reckon "depth" is useful on soft ground where the sidestand foot might dig down.

This is why I ask about the durability of the PVC "dish" since on soft or rocky ground the stones will "chew" into the bottom of the PVC (or kickstand dig in from above).

Nevertheless, on solid terrain like tarmac and concrete, I don't envision an issue.
