Think i would ask him exactly what he did , write it down in case you need the information later, you paid for it.
The headers have a gas filled? copper hollow ring which is in between the headers and the ex ports, it is torqued to spec and normally has to be replaced if the headers are removed because the seal is compressed and deforms in a unique shape for that port in the process.
And i hate to think what he would have done or forget to have done if some shims needed adjustment and the cams had to come out.
It is a close fit and the cover has to come out at the left side, coils and things have to be removed including the fuel tank, we've all done this.
Just for reference, max, are these the ones you are talking about?
