Italian tune up is real- heat and full fuel injector opening and spray pattern cleans the injectors themselves, the ports, the valves, the piston crowns, and even out to the cat substrate core. Increased combustion pressures keep rings from getting gunked up and sticking.
I think it is reasonable to fully open the throttle on a regular basis (subject to interpretation), but that does not necessarily require high RPMs.
On fuel injection systems which I have become familiar, the ECU/ECM controls the fuel injector(s) duration...longer for more fuel...as the stroke and orifice to the nozzles is not variable.
In other words a signal from the ECU opens the needle/plunger from the seat for a mapped duration (pulse width).
Which system utilizes variable opening injectors? or did I misunderstand the above statement?
Kudos to j3gq for peacemaker roll!
